The Hebei North University East African Gala is the end of the year gathering of the East African students at Hebei North University. The function involves 9 East African countries that are Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Burundi, and Sudan. The gathering involves the cultural display of both the traditional dances, social interaction and even the traditional food of every participating country. This year’s (2017) function took place at Zhangjiakou International Hotel on Saturday 16th, December from 7p.m to 10p.m. It was a very successful event and ACASC participated as a partner of the whole event. Beautiful speeches were given by the President of the East African Student Association at Hebei North University, Mr. Nicholas Rutayis and from the Head of ACASC (www.acasc.cn), Dr. Gulnar Nurdanhazy. We as ACASC would like to encourage the students to keep the association working because it seems beneficial even for the future East African students.
